Tips Tricks & Helpful Hints From the Glove Doc. 1) Condition your glove regularly with glove oil 2) Do not over-oil a glove 3) Sweat and infield dirt are among your glove's worst enemies. Do not throw your glove on the ground. When done using your glove, place the glove in a clean bag or store it in a clean area with a towel around it. This will prevent dust from building up and entering the pores of the leather. 4) Avoid placing your glove in extreme heat. Do not keep gloves inside a car or outside in heat. 5) Protect your glove from excessive or prolonged wetting. Leather will shrink if the glove gets too wet. If the glove does get wet, wait for it to dry and condition your glove with glove oil. 6) Make minor repairs as soon as possible. Fix broken stitches or repair laces ASAP to prevent larger and more expensive problems. These are a few helpful hints that will help you protect your glove. I do offer a cleaning and conditioning for $10.00. A cleaning and conditioning should be done every year and in some cases two to three times a year depending on the use of the glove. |
